LIVE FUNNEL #1 PART 4: Initial Ads Review (Dropshipping using ClickFunnels)

Watch the video, or read the Blog Post below.

Hey team! Here's a good one. It's really early days with this ClickFunnels funnel but the signs are somewhat good, yet we can't draw any conclusions yet as we don't have enough data (as you'll see in this video).

In this video, I review these ads that have been running for about an hour and let you know my thoughts. We're dropshipping these sunglasses from AliExpress for about $6 FYI in case you've missed the previous videos.

Although this is a VERY SMALL amount of data, it does give me a good platform to highlight the benefits of using ClickFunnels vs Shopify, ClickFunnels VS CommerceHQ, ClickFunnels VS WooCommerce etc as here we can see live how we're squeezing more money out of our traffic.

Early days but fingers crossed. Let's review these ads after 24 hours or so in one of the next videos.

Extra Profit Out of Facebook Ads?!

Yep, you've read that right. Did you know that you can get additional profit out of a single Facebook ad without having to do extra work? Well, you can, with the help of an external software.

I use what is called ClickFunnels, and if you haven't heard of it, it is a software that allows you to build funnels on your product page. Basically, a funnel is comprised of a series of up sells and down sells, which are products that would arguably go well with your main offer. Of course, said products will be offered at lower rates (as they will be sold as a bundle and as promotional items as thanks for the front end offer purchase). This means that you get to execute sales without having to spend more on Facebook Ads!

This is actually what we are going to discuss today. I want to show you how powerful this software can be in terms of boosting your ROAS and therefore making more money. So, let's jump right in to it!

Ads Review and ClickFunnels

Below is a screenshot of my Facebook Ads account from over 2 years ago:

By the time of filming, these ad sets have only been running for 40 minutes, and within that time span, as you can see, it has already generated some results (although there isn't much to work on, the data shown above can already be treated as relevant, considering the sum of profit the ads have given us).

And before we go any further, I just want to give an emphasis on the Facebook Ads columns that you should be displaying on your screen if you want to accurately monitor your dropshipping store's performance across the platform you are marketing on. Here's what I like to see on my screen every single day:

  • CPA;
  • CTR;
  • Impressions;
  • Outbound clicks;
  • Cost per outbound click;
  • Outbound CTR;
  • Website leads;
  • Cost per website lead;
  • Budget;
  • Amount spent;
  • Website purchases conversion value;
  • Website purchase ROAS;
  • Website content views;
  • Cost per website content view;
  • Website adds to cart;
  • Cost per website add to cart;
  • Website purchases; and
  • Cost per website purchase.

Now, from the data above, you can see that my team and I only spent around $4 on ads, and we have already generated an estimate of $55 in sales. It is important to note that we are still on the experimental stage here, and we are working with a very small audience (because we wanted to go niche-specific to see if our products will actually take off. Only after they do will we then proceed to scaling up), although we were already getting some pretty good impressions and leads, and the main things that we want to focus on here are our ROAS and overall profit.

Notice the second ad on the image? We spent $1.29 on it and it actually gave us $54.85 back! It gets better, though. Maybe here, the Facebook Pixel didn't fire properly, because if we have a look here:

We actually made $59.80 in total (just don't mind the Earnings Per Click stats, because as earlier mentioned, we are still in the experimental phase, and it will sort itself out and find its natural resting point once we make the necessary adjustments with our ads), and we didn't even have to spend more than 10% of that to be able to acquire this much!

There's more to it. If we take a look at what our customers bought, they actually purchased 3 (yes, 3!) sets of Steampunk Sunglasses in just one transaction. How does this work?

In a normal eCommerce situation, you would find something off of Facebook Ads, add it to your cart, input your information and checkout. It's that simple. But with this software that we're using (and you probably already know what it is), we can squeeze in more products without having to pay Facebook more money. So that means when a customer clicks on our paid ad, they would be offered some other products (or more of the same) before they proceed to the checkout page in a much lower price, in an attempt to entice them into sending more money over to our store.

You see, that is the power of ClickFunnels. At no additional cost, you gain that extra chance of increasing your sales and therefore boosting your ROI. You add more products to your main offer, and this is where you would be creating the margins that you will be working with. With these so-called up sells and down sells, you won't have to pay for advertising and manpower (since you can actually easily set these up yourself). Moreover, you can directly speak to your supplier and see if you can get a good deal should you promise them more purchases over time!

Again, we didn't work with a pretty good audience size, but from the data generated above, you can already see the power of ClickFunnels, and how it can help you earn more without having to spend an extra dime.

Let's Wrap It Up!

So, I'm not saying that with the audience that we worked with, this dropshipping store and overall marketing strategy is assured to work, but just think: if we already made this much from a small audience, what more if we scale it up and use the exact same strategy to boost our sales? Yep, the field of dropshipping and eCommerce is filled with uncertainties, but it's never a bad idea to get a little help along the way, if it would mean more purchases and more sales, right?

Are you still hesitant about using ClickFunnels and creating your own up sells and down sells? Pfft! Where did I go wrong?!
