The Best CommerceHQ Theme [FREE Course] #13

Watch the video, or read the Blog Post below.

You have probably set up themes for your phone or desktop device before and you probably already know what works best for you: at a glance, it should define who the user is and what he or she is like, and it should leave a lasting impression to those who will see it. So you modify everything down to the last bit to ensure that the final outcome will be breathtaking and simply elegant.

The same can be said for setting up a theme for an online store. The administrator should also mix and match various elements to suit his or her taste, only this time, he or she should also think about the website’s potential visitors. How else would they make a sale if he or she is without a beautiful website to post a product on?

So what makes a good online store theme? In this post, we are going to discuss the best CommerceHQ store theme, and how you can implement it on your own store.

The Best Theme For Your CommerceHQ Store

If you landed here and do not know what CommerceHQ is, basically, it is an all-in-one solution to all your eCommerce needs. These include abandoned cart features, up sells and down sells, comprehensive analytics reports, a visual store builder, and more. But our topic of interest today is its free themes that you can implement to suit and match your taste.

Why is choosing the perfect theme for your dropshipping store so important? One reason is because it provides the overall mood that your brand should emanate onto your customers. If you are selling baby products, then shouldn’t your website look family-friendly and fun? Likewise, an online jewellery store should look fancy and elegant, and a store that sells food should entice customers into thinking that they are hungry for their goods.

Think of websites such as Facebook and its signature deep blue; Twitter and its light blue theme; Instagram and its various shades of red, purple, blue and yellow. A good theme should help your customers remember you, not just by name, but also by your website’s overall appearance.

So, how do you set up a theme for your dropshipping store?

Setting a Theme For Your CommerceHQ Store

On your CommerceHQ dashboard, go to Store Setup > Themes to get a list of the readily available themes. From the time the video was created and uploaded, CommerceHQ has 5 free themes: Vintage, Raleway, Blizzard, Montserrat and Strong. Each one has their own strong and weak points, but I do recommend that you use Vintage for your stores.

Why? Because we need to be mindful that we usually send people to a product page because we want to get them straight to the offer; we want to show them the value that they are going to get, and if they like it, they can simply add that product to their cart, fill in a form and click that Confirm Purchase button distraction-free. The point is, we do not want to divert our customers’ attention from what we want to sell them towards something that is more attention-grabbing.

The Vintage theme has a neat white background that allows the more important elements of your web page, such as the Purchase and Add to Cart buttons, to stand out above the rest. This is important especially if you want your products to convert at a high degree and therefore make you more money.

Of course, you can choose other themes to match the overall idea of your brand, but Vintage comes pre-set when you activate your CommerceHQ store. I am going to assume that it is also the highest-converting theme of all, which is why CHQ chose it as the default theme.

If you want to see how it looks from a customer’s perspective, you can check out my demo store Blue Fire Shop by clicking this link. Notice the eye-catchy round font being used and the overall straightforwardness of the buttons — click this to go to this product, hover above to see the menus, change the currency, view your cart, and so on.

And if you want to test out the other themes, you can hover on one and click on Preview. This will not change the theme of your live store; rather, it will only give you a taste of what you will be getting should you decide to go with it.

Let’s Wrap It Up!

Setting the right theme for your dropshipping store can be treated as one of the determining factors for the profitability of your own store. When using CommerceHQ for your business, it is highly recommended that you use the default theme Vintage mainly because of its simplicity and straightforwardness in leading your customers straight to the checkout page. Its clean white background removes all sorts of distractions, and because there are not many elements to be seen, one can easily locate the call-to-action buttons and therefore convert into buying customers. Basic does not only mean basic; it also means neat and tidy, which is what your customers will potentially love about their overall experience with browsing your website and your store.
