What drives you forward, and what makes you eager to wake up each day?
For me, I look forward to each waking day because I want to be able to reach my daily goals. I am a goal-driven person and I need milestones to hit. And what makes it even better is if I could achieve a lot with maximum efficiency -- a two-birds-in-one-stone scenario, if I may say so. I want to help myself all the while helping all my followers and subscribers -- including you -- with something that I know they can trust me with, and that is providing dropshipping assistance and sharing my knowledge.

So what exactly do I want to imply here? Let us take a step back from the usual dropshipping tips, tricks and strategy posting; today I want to share a short-term goal that I've set up for myself, how it centers around my YouTube channel and how I am going to spend my time in the coming months.
Before we get started, let me give you a little bit of context as to why I am doing this post. So, back in 2018, I wanted to cut back on some costs and allocate what I would save onto some more important aspects of my business. I had my office located separately from where I was living at the time, and I wanted to condense it down to just having one place where I could both live and work (since I'm running an online business, I felt that there was actually no need for me to have a physical office). This then led me to a decision to move out and find a better location.
Basically, I was paying $200 for my office and another $175 for my own apartment. Adding these numbers up, we were paying a monthly total of $375 for rent alone. And thinking about it, I can save up to $200 if I could just find a decent one-bedroom apartment that I can also use as my workspace. That could potentially be a huge addition to my ad spend, or I can also use it to reward my staff for their hard work!
So that was my goal at the time: to cover the difference in what I would have to pay when I move out. I want to be able to make that $200 that I was spending for my office by doing something that I love -- and that is providing you with content and strategies for the best dropshipping store you can ever have, through my YouTube channel.
I have always wanted to have a goal set for my YouTube channel to keep me accountable and credible. There's always a question in my mind: "How can I make more videos, and what is going to be my goal?" I want to have that measurable goal that is virtually possible to achieve. So I could say I want to cover the difference in my rent from YouTube, but if I can't have that particular number, then there's no way that I could drive myself forward to reaching that goal.
So, $200 doesn't seem like a hard number to reach. Obviously, my dropshipping business is going well, and I could easily make this amount any time of the day. But if I can get that from my YouTube side of things as well as from my affiliate commissions, basically, these outlets would have covered for my expenses, and the rest of my profits can be better allocated to my store spendings. I just really like this concept, and this drives me to keep on putting out more content for you -- which leads us to yet another goal that I wish to achieve.
So, putting out more YouTube videos would mean that I have to get used to video editing and speaking in front of the camera. For me, that seems like a pretty sweet idea, actually, because at some point, I want to be able to travel and sort of vlog every bit of my experience so I can have a bit of variety around my channel. In a way, I'm hitting two birds with one stone -- I'm giving you dropshipping tips while at the same time I am preparing myself for what is yet to come to my channel. I feel like my current channel is going to put me in a good position for when I would want to start vlogging my travel stories.
So, $200 a week, and to get there, I am going to be putting out heaps of valuable content on my YouTube channel, and if you have been a follower for quite some time now, you know how things work around my channel: we don't just go straight to the solution without telling you why it works or what happens if you do or if you don't follow it. We like to test things and show you what would happen should you decide to do A or B. I want my YouTube channel to showcase the journey of how I was able to fully optimize my stores so that you can do the exact same things as I am.
Let's Wrap It Up!
Having short term goals is clearly the way to go! Without a clear intention in mind, you could feel a bit lost and unsure about which direction would you want to go.
